Spring always feels like a reset… the days get longer, everything starts coming back to life, and there’s this natural invitation to slow down and be a little more intentional.
I recently had the chance to share some of our favorite spring rhythms and a few of the products we use and love on FOX 17, where we talked about simple ways families can create meaningful, screen-free rhythms at home this season.
It’s something I come back to often in Mama Bear Survival—creating an “analog childhood” rooted in simple, memorable moments… and these are a few of the tools helping us do just that.
Here are a few of our favorite resources right now for spring activities, Easter basket ideas, and creative, screen-free play at home. Some of these links are affiliate links and I’ve included discount codes where I can to use as well!

1. Wondergarten
.
If you have young kids at home, Wondergarten is such a gift for the early years.
It’s a rich, beautiful program that weaves together art, music, stories, handcrafts, and baking and SO MUCH goodness! It’s designed for ages 3 to 6, but in our home, all of my kids, from 3 to 11, have been drawn into it.
What makes it especially meaningful is how it was created. It’s a husband-and-wife team out of Wisconsin: Nathaniel creates all of the original stories, art, and music (the sweetest little gnome stories he originally made for their own children), and Lisa runs a preschool out of their home. She’s built thoughtful weekly rhythms that follow the seasons and bring everything together.
You really just need the seasonal book to get started (digital, softcover or the beautiful hardcover option). They also offer optional supply kits, which make it so easy because all the supplies just show up to your door.
This month, we’ve been growing wheat grass in Easter baskets, dyeing play silks, planting flowers, and working with clay. And of course, our favorite, baking! The recipes are delicious with swaps for vegan, gluten-free, refined-sugar free… you name it.

Plus, there is a free app where you can connect with other families and get support (the bread didn’t rise or can’t remember how to do that one craft? Just pop in and ask the community!).
Even if you don’t do the full program, you can still enjoy the stories through their free podcast, The Gnomes of Wondergarten. It is beautiful and entertaining. Their music is available on CD or digitally, and it’s also on Yoto, our favorite screen-free way for kids to listen to stories and music. A Yoto player or a few cards would make such a sweet addition to an Easter basket alongside this.
2. Eco Art & Craft
.
Another new favorite for spring in our home is Eco Art & Craft.
This is a family-run company out of Australia, and everything they make is produced completely off-grid in their family warehouse (check out their Instagram for pictures- so cool!).
What really sets them apart is what’s in their products. Instead of traditional paints filled with questionable ingredients, theirs are made from flowers, seeds, and roots. They’re powered by the sun, and everything is biodegradable or recyclable, so it really is a full-circle, natural approach to art.

And the best part… it’s FUN!
They offer eco-paint, eco-slime, and eco-fizz and other beautiful, nature-themed products that help you bring a bit of Mother Earth into your home this season.
3. SUNDRI

There’s nothing quite like learning a new handcraft alongide your children. SUNDRI offers one of the first courses I’ve seen that teaches you, the parent, how to knit—so you can then turn around and teach your child.
It was started by two moms who wanted to help families swap screen time for knitting time, which you know I just love.
Their treasure bag kit is especially sweet for Easter and it becomes something you learn together, creating meaningful memories along the way.
You might start with something simple like that small treasure bag, but they also offer patterns for clothing and gifts, so it can grow with you over time.
But more than the finished product, it’s really the process. There’s something about the rhythm of knitting that helps kids settle. It creates this quiet, focused space where you’re simply sitting side by side, making something with your hands. I’m determined to make more than just a scarf this year… so stay tuned on my progress!
4. Sarah’s Silks

And then there are Sarah’s Silks, which have truly stood the test of time in our house!
I’ve had some of ours for nearly a decade, and they’re still used on the regular. They’re kind of like blocks… they can be used at every stage and their purpose or fun may change as your child grows. Kids use them for everything, from forts, dress-up, to imaginative play.
I love using them to mark the seasons. You can add them to a nature table, layer them into your home, or tuck a green silk into an Easter basket. They also have fort kits, which are always a hit, and they collaborate with Wondergarten to create a monthly silk tied to the seasonal theme!
Creating a meaningful home doesn’t have to be complicated. Choosing a few things that bring beauty, rhythm, and connection into your home season after season will become the traditions you all remember. Happy Spring!
